Having moved to London in the early eighties as a songwriter, under the guidance of Dave Stewart (Eurythimics) I was thrown in at the deep end working with Jon Bavin who engineered and mixed most of the Eurythmics records and continued to work as an engineer with Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Shakespear’s Sister.
From there Jon taught me the basics of sound engineering and I got the taste for trying to make things sound better! I ended up working with Artists from Anxious Records as it was connected to Church studio’s. From there I worked with a band called “The Satyrs” who ended up being produced by “Alan Moulder” of Curve, Smashing Pumpkin’s fame.  I played Guitar on the demos and when it came to the record which Alan (produced in Jesus and Mary Chains studio) I got asked to come and re do my guitar parts.
I then enrolled on a studio engineer course to catch up on the growing digital side of recording at “Islington Music workshop” under the watchful eye of Simon Tillbrooke who was working with Prince at the time. From there I moved to working for “Hit and Run” Publishing studio working with a cross section of their artists . I then moved onto the live side of engineering for “The Dirty Beatniks, Les Rhythm Digital, Wise Guys and most of the other bands on the “Wall of Sound Label”. The taste for travel and being paid to go to places that wouldn’t normally be on your tourist destinations of choice!
I have since worked with bands from all over the world and I still tour now and then but am concentrating on studio work more and more. I am currently producing/engineering and mixing Dan Davies from “Wolf People’s” new record “los pepes”, and am open to working with new artists, should the opportunity arise!
